During a Vasectomy Reversal

January 5th, 2008 | by admin |

During the vasectomy reversal, the man will be given the option to be put to sleep, or to stay awake. If they stay awake, they are given a local anesthetic to numb the area below the waist. They will not be able to feel anything or see what the doctor is doing, but they will be awake and alert. Those that chose to sleep will not be awake during the surgery, but will wake in the recovery room not long after the operation is finished.
