Research has suggested that 1% of females suffer from anorexia nervosa while 4% of population suffers from bulimia nervosa. Males are also found to suffer from anorexia disorder amounting to 10% of total population. Statistics have revealed that age group between 17-20% is the most vulnerable for eating disorders. The different factors that contribute to them are social pressure, looks, beauty concepts, and emotional depression.
