Recovering from Blepharoplasty
September 22nd, 2008 | by admin |Blepharoplasty can be one of the most gratifying aesthetic procedures, however, an elective cosmetic procedure combined with the opposite result produces the unhappy patient. Blepharoplasty rejuvenates and restores the lower lid area, where traditionally the anterior transcutaneous approach is used for this procedure. Blepharoplasty may be performed with a laser instrument, where the intense energy produced by the laser causes blood to coagulate, which may diminish bleeding and swelling during and after the operation. Bruising typically lasts 5-10 days, give or take a few days, and after stitches are removed a light cosmetics application camouflages bruising until it disappears altogether.
