A Cure for Bone Cancer?
April 23rd, 2009 | by admin |If you have recently been diagnosed with cancer of the bone and wondering if there is a cure, the answer is not as simple as you might think…it’s yes and it’s no. Researchers are working daily to find cures to all kinds of cancer and a bone cancer cure is no exception. It is believed that many scientists are on the verge of finding a cure for cancer or the bone and the shrinking of bone tumors, so the answer may soon be found. One of the promising things about cancer in the bone is that it is very rare. Many people who discover tumors in their bones through an MRI or body image scan have results of their biopsies come back negative. Cancer of the bone affects mostly children and young adults with the exception of Chondrosarcoma which is generally found in individuals over the age of fifty. Scientists and researchers have found that children are incredibly resilient with cancer treatments and their bodies can adjust faster to the chemotherapy or radiation treatments, thus “curing” them at a must faster pace than with an adult whose immune system may not be at its strongest.
