California State Disability Insurance Program

March 12th, 2008 | by admin |

California State Disability Insurance Program is supposed to be one of the best partial wage replacement insurance plans for the workers of California. These disability insurance programs are state-mandated and supported through the payroll deductions of the California employees. SDI offers many reasonable short-term benefits to those who suffer a loss of wages due to having a non work-related injury or illness, or a medically disabling state caused due to childbirth or pregnancy. There are nearly 12 million workers who are covered by SDI program. SDI does not provide these benefits to railroad employees, and an employee who claims religious exemptions. Moreover, SDI offers a disability health insurance plan that has larger coverage.
