June 22nd, 2008 | by admin |

There are many different types of prostate cancer treatments. The newer types of prostate cancer treatments are cryotherapy, hormone therapy and even surgery. Prostrate cancer treatments may begin with observation and waiting and eventually lead to removal of the entire prostate gland. Depending on the severity of the cancer the best method is used under the circumstances. The type of treatment largely depends on the size of the tumor, how far it has spread, how fast it is spreading and of course your personal preference. The different type of prostrate cancer treatments that are normally used are radiation, radioactive seed implants, chemotherapy, radical prostatectomy, laparoscopic surgery, hormone treatment and even surveillance.
