You can inherit Peripheral Neuropathy

November 28th, 2007 | by admin |

With this disease, like a bunch of other debilitating diseases, peripheral neuropathy can be inherited, or it can be acquired by an individual (usually later on in life).

This ailment occurs when the nerves break down and begin to function improperly. This condition often results in pain — or its opposite — loss of sensation, or the increasing inability to control muscles or complete muscle groups. So, the term “Peripheral Neuropathy” is defined as damage to nerves (of the peripheral nervous system), which is most likely caused by either diseases pertaining to the nerves, or as a side-effect of another illness.
