The Rashes Caused By 5th Disease

According to the doctor letter experts at Columbia University Medical Center, these rashes start on the cheeks and are bright red in color. They give the impression of slapped cheeks to the affected kid and hence this name is also derived for it.
The experts also state that the rashes usually spread to the arms, legs and trunks. They usually last for a period of around two to four days. These rashes may continue to appear, in case the child is exposed to sunlight. They can even be caused by very cold or hot temperature.
