Gastric Bypass Procedure

December 1st, 2007 | by admin |

If you qualify for a gastric bypass procedure, you are going to need to decide on which procedure you want to have done.  There are two basic types.  The first one alters the stomach in such a way as it only can contain a small amount of food.  This will keep you from eating too much at any one sitting.  The second type of procedure is one that alters your digestive tract so that it will not absorb the nutrients and calories from food as it is digested.  Both of these types of procedures carry their own risks and benefits.  You will need to discuss it with your doctor to see which one is best for your particular needs.
