How many people have family members who either have a disability or disorder?

I have so much compassion for people who struggle with something because I have a learning disability. It wasn’t discovered until I started the first grade. I have cousin who is Dyslexic and my best friend has Mosaic Downs Syndrome. My cousin works extremely hard in life and is attending college. My best friend is super smart and can play four different musical instruments. It seems like nowadays that so many people either have a disability or a disorder. I had an old friend who had Social Anxiety Disorder, Bipolar and Depression. It seems like a lot of people in this world struggle with something. It goes to show that our world isn’t perfect.

The majority of the women in my family have problems with depression. Most of us are on some sort of medication for it. I also have an Aunt who has Paranoid Schizophrenia with Multiple Personality Disorder. I’m glad you are compassionate about learning disorders. They are difficult and very frustrating to the individual suffering with it. I personally work with 6 people with severe mental retardation. Although the ones with Downs tend to be my favorite!

Well my brother has a learning disability. he also has dispraxia, behavioral problems, coordination problems etc and he’s not exactly bright but is normal but sometimes he acts like he isn’t normal. He has loads of friends and is very popular and gets support in school in every lesson. He also has this genetic thing too its called neurofibromotosis something like that anyway. he has tumors all over his body, one on his back, one on his leg and foot and even one in his brain. He has a higher chance of getting skin cancer then ginger people.
