Borescopes are used often in the medical field.

November 13th, 2007 | by admin |

Endoscopes are special borescopes that have the ability to be inserted into the human body. They are used in a variety of procedures and surgeries. Colonoscopies are performed using endoscopes. The special borescopes are also used in a variety of surgeries, such as the removal of the appendix or the gall bladder. Endoscopes provide a less invasive means of performing surgery. Rather than cutting open the patient, a doctor can insert the endoscope through a tiny incision. This makes recovery quicker, and the patient does not experience as much pain.
