Cat 5 cable wiring can be hazardous to the health of small children.

If you have cat 5 cable wiring installed in your home, and you have small children, be careful not to let the kids play with the cables. Little kids are curious creatures. They want to touch and inspect everything. They place things in their mouths and around their necks. Cable is definitely something that you do not want children to place around their necks. This can cause strangulation. Wiring is not something that you want kids to put into their mouths either. It is possible for kids to get shocked, and it is not uncommon for them to bite through the cable, which can cause a choking hazzard. It doesn’t take long for a child to get into mischief. Keep an eye on them, and do not allow them near cables or wiring of any type.
